Cathy C. Hallhttps://cathychall.wordpress.com/I write, write, write. Then I rewrite, rewrite, rewrite. THEN I submit all those polished-up words out into the world and sell 'em. It's a plan that's worked pretty well.

And We Have a Winner!

November 26, 2013 by Cathy C. Hall

It’s a cold and rainy day here in Georgia, and so I’ve been writing, writing, writing, all day long. And I was just getting to the really scary part–you know, the part where the world turns upside down, characters start flying every which way, monkeys are zipping by–and then I thought, Cathy, you might need a break. On account of me pretty much adding The Wizard of Oz to my manuscript.

So I probably have a bit of rewriting to do. But first, I’m drawing a name for Meg Moseley’s delightful novel, GONE SOUTH. I guarantee that Lynn will enjoy every word of this Southern story, steeped in family histories.

And speaking of family histories, I’m wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving, steeped in all the fixin’s, with you and yours!

Home Stretch Writing

November 25, 2013 by Cathy C. Hall

MP900341371So it’s that last mad dash of writing, where we’re zipping in to the home stretch of whatever mad writing challenge we’ve pursued this month! I feel supremely mostly fairly confident that I’ll make PiBoIdMo–I mean, a title’s an idea, right?

But NaNo’s been a little more intimidating. I’ve been working on a rewrite and…well, you can read about Of Rewrites and Trees over at The Muffin.

And then, if you haven’t left a comment on Meg Moseley’s post to win her book, GONE SOUTH, zip over there and do so. I’ll be drawing a name tomorrow, so hurry!

And really, compared to coming up with yet another picture book idea and rewriting an entire novel, leaving a comment is child’s play.
