We were, weren’t we? Or maybe that was just me.
This weekend, over at The Muffin, I used zombies and other creepy things that go bump in the night to demonstrate a writing exercise I created from a sports show.
I know it sounds crazy, but as friend and fellow writer,Β Margo Dill, said, “This is a great guide for people planning their NANOWRIMO novels.”
And you’re starting to plan your NaNoWriMo novel, right? So why not give it a go?
(P.S. The writing exercise works for just about any form, short or long. But even if you’re between writing projects, there’s always the zombies and a couple good movie recommendations.)
I love the muffin and Margo– on my way to see what this is about. I’m participating in the nonfiction version of NaNo. I’m sure it will all transfer over nicely. π
Oh, how interesting, Julie! And good luck with your nonfiction!
Um…yes, I’m sure it shall transfer nicely. Sort of. Maybe. Just a little bit? π
Heading over to The Muffin now. And those zombies . . . it sounds so wrong to say that when I think of zombies I think of you, but it’s so true. LOL I love the State Farm commercial with the zombie. Hehehe . . .
Lisa, that’s my favorite commercial right now! Zombies are the number one pick for costumes this Halloween at my elementary school. Nothing better than seeing forty or fifty mini zombies running around the playground. Mwahaha!
I dunno, Suzanne. There were many times I felt like a Zombie, watching the little monsters on the playground! Mwahahaha back at’cha!
Lisa, I kinda think that’s a compliment? Hahaha! And of COURSE the SF commercial. Classic!
I agree with Lisa. The zombie State Farm commercial IS cute.
Zombies aren’t interested in pics on sticks, are they? I just need to be reassured that Cathy-on-a-Stick will be okay…
By the way, I read your “Better Safe Than Sorry” story in the latest CS book. It was an engaging tale…it didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat as much as “Leapin’ Lena” would, but it WAS well crafted… π
Cathy-on-a-Stick can fly–Cathy the Writer, not so much. π
And thanks for the CS shout out, Sioux! I’m keeping an eye out for my books to arrive any day!
I will check out your post on the Muffin. I’m late visiting blogs and have so much catching up to do.
